Threads app: source of social media mentions 2023

The launch of Threads - a microblogging and social media app published by Meta - was anticipated by social global media buzz and online mentions. Between July 3 to 10, 2023, almost 64 percent of the online mentions regarding Threads were made on Twitter. Around 16 percent of all the mentions were made by Facebook users, while 8.6 percent of the buzz came from websites. Forums generated 1.33 percent of the online mentions about Threads, while blogs generated less than 0.5 percent of all mentions as of the examined period.
