Share of people who have drunk gin in Portugal 2012-2022
In Portugal, the consumption of gin has fluctuated, but a rising tendency can be observed. In 2012, only five percent of the population had drunk gin during the previous year. By 2016, the penetration of this beverage more than doubled, reaching 13 percent of the population. In 2022, over 15 percent of respondents had drunk gin over the previous year, which is the highest share registered.
