In a survey conducted in Japan between December 2022 and January 2023, almost 81 percent of male respondents agreed with the statement that one should not impose their own way on their partner when it comes to housework and raising children. Over 76 percent agreed that household tasks and childcare responsibilities should be shared between couples. Female respondents expressed similar views, but agreed to a greater extent.
