In Norway during the period 2016 to 2020, 96 percent of women and 91.5 percent of men lived at least five years after the diagnosis of melanoma. This represents an increase in survival rates compared to between 1971 and 1975 when around 79 percent of women and 61 percent of men would live for five years following a diagnosis of melanoma.
