On May 28th, the electorate of Madrid went to the polls for the Madrilenian regional election. With 99.97 percent of the votes counted, the winner of the Madrid Autonomous Region's election was the Partido Popular (PP) with more than 47 percent of the votes, converting this result into a majority in the region's assembly. By contrast, the Podemos party lost all the seats it had won in 2021 by not reaching the minimum threshold of 5 percent.
