In France, just over half of lesbian, gay, bisexual, intersex, and transgender people over the age of 15 were in paid work in France, and a quarter of them were students or pupils. Those most likely to have a paid job were homosexual men and women (61 percent), followed by bisexual men (52 percent). In addition, the proportion of students was higher among bisexual and intersex people than in the rest of the LGBTQI community. Also, the people most affected by unemployment were transgender people.
