In the years 2016 to 2020, over 98 percent of women and 97 percent of men in England diagnosed with melanoma of the skin would live for at least one year after their diagnosis. The survival rates for five years were also relatively high with 94.6 percent of women and 90.5 percent of men living for five years post-diagnosis.
