In 2022, it was found that an estimated 29.2 million fantasy sports players in the United States participated in fantasy football, making it the most played fantasy sport in the U.S. by a significant margin. Fantasy baseball, the second most played fantasy sport in the U.S., was played by less than half of the number of fantasy players who participated in fantasy football, with approximately 12.5 million players in the U.S.
