While the number of art-related NFT transactions at public auctions worldwide decreased sharply in 2023 over the previous year, the auction revenue in this segment experienced an annual increase. Overall, 32 sales of art-related non-fungible tokens generated just under 23 million U.S. dollars in 2023. Even though the auction revenue rose by over 60 percent compared to the previous year, it remained significantly below the figure reported in 2021.
