Los Angeles, Orange, and San Diego were the counties with the largest light-duty vehicle market. In Los Angeles, nearly 505,000 new vehicles were registered in 2022, 19.03 percent of which were zero-emission vehicles (ZEVs). Santa Clara and San Mateo were the counties among the fifteen largest light vehicle markets that recorded the highest share of ZEV sales at 34.04 and 33.22 percent, respectively.
