According to a survey conducted by Rakuten Insight in 2023 on social commerce in Malaysia, 64 percent of respondents between the ages of 16 to 24 stated that they purchased something using social media because it was convenient. This was the most common reason for respondents who have purchased items via social media, followed by sale or promotion if purchased on social media.
