A significant majority of the funding to start-ups created in Denmark, Norway, Finland, and Sweden since 2010 went to companies founded by men. This is partly related to the fact that a majority of business entrepreneurs are men, but still indicates an imbalance between male and female entrepreneurs. Of the three countries, Sweden had the highest share of funding to start-ups owned solely by women with only one percent.
