Electromobility has been growing in popularity in Germany and while just over ten percent of Germans have used an electric car, the most widely used electric vehicle was an e-bike. Nearly a quarter of German are using or have previously used an e-bike. The sale of e-bikes in Germany has been rising substantially over the past few years, 2.1 million e-bikes were sold in the country in 2023.
