In 2022, North America was the biggest global natural gas production region, accounting for 26.3 percent of the total global natural gas production of 4.03 trillion cubic meters (TCM). This is expected to increase to 30.6 percent in 2050 as the global natural gas production increases to 5.3 TCM.
