According to a survey conducted in Colombia in 2022, talking to friends and family about mental health issues was the most stated mean to tackle mental health concerns in the South American country, as mentioned by more than one-third of participants. The same study found that around 19 percent of the interviewees talked to a mental health professional, while about 14 percent took medication to treat mental health conditions. That year, mental health was among Colombian's main health concerns.
