During an early 2023 survey carried out in 10 countries worldwide, earning immediate discounts or loyalty reward points was found to be the main reason why consumers opted into receiving brand communications on their smartphones, named by 42 percent of respondents. Roughly every fifth interviewee mentioned receiving personalized offers based on browsing behavior or past purchases in the same context.
