As of October 2022, the share of hoteliers in Europe who saw energy costs as a challenge varied by hotel star classification. The vast majority of five star hotels, 94 percent, considered energy costs to be a challenge. In contrast, 48 percent of 1 star hotels saw energy costs as a challenge.
