Share of people watching the FIFA World Cup in Africa in 2018 and 2022

In 2022, a survey conducted in Africa found that 93 percent of respondents was watching or planning to watch the FIFA World Cup. This was an eight percentage points increase from the last FIFA World Cup which was held in 2018. Moreover, Africa's share was higher than the global intended viewership average which stood at 55 percent.
