According to a survey on biodiversity conducted in mid-2022 in Japan, the majority of around 34 percent of respondents stated that they have not consciously participated in any measures to preserve biodiversity. The most popular effort to contribute to biodiversity conservation was the choice to buy local and seasonal produce in order to save energy and reduce CO2 emissions at close to 34 percent.
