Movie ticket prices in India resurged in 2023 with the average cost for a ticket amounting to 130 Indian rupees. This was a significant recovery from the previous year when ticket prices stood at 119 rupees. Average ticket prices rose across languages that year and were 22 percent higher than pre-pandemic levels, with the main contributors being Hollywood and Hind films.
