In 2023, China was the world's largest selling country of petrochemicals, with sales surpassing 532 billion euros. The East Asian country accounted for 43 percent of the global petrochemical sales that year. Meanwhile, the United States ranked second, but by a wide margin, with sales amounting to some 120.1 billion euros.
