A survey conducted during the Beijing 2022 Winter Olympic Games concluded that the most common obstacles preventing Chinese people from participating in winter sports activities were the lack of venues or time. High costs of skiing were also a major factor, while one in four respondents claimed that they generally had little interest in winter sports without particular reasons.
