In the second round of the Brazilian presidential elections, held on 30 October 2022, Jair Bolsonaro was the most voted candidate in 14 federative units , while Lula won in the other 13 units plus the ballots coming from the consulates, that is, from Brazilians living abroad. The distribution of votes shows a marked geographical division, with the PT candidate being preferred in the Northeast and incumbent president Bolsonaro gathering most votes in the South and Central-West regions.
Lula got its best result in the northeastern state of PiauĂ, where he received 76.86 percent of the valid ballots cast. Bolsonaro was particularly popular in Roraima, where 76.08 percent of electors voted for him.
