For most of the period under study, the more the years of schooling of the urban active population in Mexico, the higher the unemployment for people who are willing to work. The share of urban open unemployment among those with 10 to 12 years of schooling, as well as for those with 13 years or more, peaked in 2020 at 6.7 and 6.3 percent, respectively.
