According to a global survey conducted between July and August 2022, some 68 percent of male respondents expected climate change to have either a very or somewhat severe effect in the area they live over the course of the next ten years. By contrast, the share of female respondents who thought climate change will severely impact their local area in the future stood at 74 percent.
