In 2020, China was the leading importer of agricultural goods worldwide, followed by the United States, and Germany. Chinese imports were worth 193.5 billion U.S. dollars. American imports came to under 150 billion and German imports to under 100 billion U.S. dollars, respectively. Among the leading twenty importers Malaysia ranked 20th with 17.61 billion U.S. dollars of agricultural imports.
