In 2021, approximately 3.6 thousand children in Haiti received antiretroviral therapy for HIV treatment, the highest reported number of children under this type of therapy among 23 countries in Latin America and the Caribbean. In that year, more than one thousand children living with the virus in Mexico, Argentina, and Venezuela had received antiretroviral therapy to treat the disease.
