According to a survey conducted among South Koreans in 2023, approximately 83 percent of respondents expressed their intention to build significant wealth by starting a business. About 28.3 percent stated that their motivation came from the scarcity of jobs in South Korea. Only 3.9 percent of respondents aimed to make a difference in the world by starting a business, which was the lowest figure among the 45 countries surveyed.
