According to a survey conducted by iResearch in January 2022, 40.8 percent of respondents from higher-tier cities and 60.2 percent of respondents from China's lower-tier cities said that the mother was the main caregiver for children at home. Only 21.8 percent of respondents from lower-tier cities said both parents were responsible for taking care of their babies.
