In 2025, the loans to financial and non-financial businesses granted by banks in the European Union are expected to be valued at over eight trillion euros. Most of that amount corresponds to loans and advances to non-financial corporations. Loans to financial corporates are forecasted to be worth 1.68 trillion euros in 2025 up from the 1.51 trillion euros of 2022. Meanwhile, the value of the outstanding loans to non-financial corporations in the Eurozone amounted to roughly half a trillion euros as of September 2023.
