In May 2022, nearly 800 thousand customers of the Russian telecommunications operator MTS used the online dating platform Tinder. The number of unique users of Tinder nearly halved compared to January 2022. The reason behind the decline was the decision of Tinder to disable paid functions for users from Russia in response to its invasion of Ukraine. Furthermore, Bumble and Badoo stopped allowing new app downloads from Russian users and also saw a decrease in user traffic. At the same time, the visitor count of domestic platforms Mamba and LovePlanet slightly increased over the period under consideration.
