In a survey conducted in Japan between November 2022 and January 2023, the majority of respondents expressed the opinion that women should continue working even after having children. Over 61 percent of female respondents and over 57 percent of male respondents thought that women should continue working even after childbirth. Around 27 percent of women and men stated that women should temporarily quit their jobs to raise children and resume working after they have grown up.
