A 2022 survey of PlayStation 4 console gamers worldwide found that online multiplayer was the key reason for users to subscribe to the gaming subscription service PlayStation Plus. The monthly free games were ranked second with 30 percent of respondents stating that this was their primary subscription driver. Overall, 72 percent of respondents were satisfied with the service. In March 2022, Sony reported 47.4 million PS Plus subscribers.
