The results of the first round of the Colombian 2022 presidential elections, held on May 29, 2022, led to a second ballot between the two most voted candidates: Gustavo Petro and Rodolfo Hernández. Having received approximately 8.53 million votes, equivalent to 40.32 percent of the total, the candidate for Pacto Histórico led the electoral poll. With 23.91 percent of the votes, Federico Gutiérrez, candidate for the right-wing coalition Equipo por Colombia, was out of the presidental race.
