The level of investment fund shares held by pension funds in the Euro area remained relatively stable experiencing an incremental incline over the 15-year period. Beginning in the first quarter of 2008 Euro area pension funds held roughly 309 billion euros increasing to to over one trillion euros by the second quarter of 2023.
