According to a survey carried out in August 2022, the higher the educational level, the more popular was incumbent President Jair Bolsonaro. Around 36 percent of those surveyed who had higher education intended to vote for Bolsonaro, a share that went down to 27 percent in the case of those whose highest educational attainment was elementary school. Among the latter, 55 percent claimed that they would vote for Lula da Silva. The voting intention for Lula was also higher among women than men.
