Netflix held the highest market share of SVOD subscriptions in Western Europe in the third quarter of 2022, accounting for 34.5 percent of all such subscriptions in this region. However, the subscription share of the streaming giant has decreased in recent years, while the four new services Disney+, Discovery+, HBO Max, and Paramount+ have gained in popularity and held a market share of 17.2 percent in total.
