104,295 environmental bonus applications were filed in Germany after buying a Tesla Model 3 in 2023. Other leading models included the Renault Zoe and the VW ID.3. The German federal government granted an environmental bonus for the purchase (purchase or leasing) of electric vehicles if they were registered for the first time and the net list price of the basic model did not exceed 65,000 euros. The government announced in December 2023 that the program would be ending.
