Canada is the world's leading exporter of natural gas in gaseous state. In 2023, Canada exported over 81 billion cubic meters (bcm) of gaseous state natural gas. This figure represents an increase of roughly three thousand cubic meters in comparison to 2015. The United States ranked second, with a more notable increase in export volumes, from 43 bcm in 2015 to 79.8 bcm in 2023. During the same year, the U.S. was the top importer country of gaseous state natural gas.
