Based in Lagos, Nigeria, Africa RE reached a turnover value of over 845 million U.S. dollars in 2021. This was followed by Munich Reinsurance Company of Africa and Hannover Re South Africa, which had turnover values reaching approximately 825.6 million and 475 million U.S. dollars, respectively. In 2020, Munich Reinsurance of Africa reached a net combined ratio of almost 100 percent.
