In 2022, pachinko halls in Japan acquired 1.75 million new machines. Pachinko halls are usually equipped with pachinko machines and pachislot machines, although some parlors specialize in pachislot, while others only offer pachinko machines. The number of new acquisitions declined significantly during the surveyed period, but has been increasing for the second consecutive year.
