From 2000 to 2021, the total amount of official development assistance (ODA) from Norway increased steadily. Of the total 4.6 billion U.S. dollars in bilateral ODA from Norway, over half went to improving social infrastructure and services in developing countries. The second highest amount was given as multi-sector aid, followed by humanitarian aid.
