According to a survey conducted in South Korea in December 2021, about 42 percent of respondents said that South Korea needs to strengthen its alliance with the United States to solve the problem on the Korean Peninsula. Nearly 30 percent of respondents favored a shift away from unilateral policies toward the United States.
