Between April and September 2023, about 41.1 percent of overseas workers from the Philippines were working in elementary occupations, which include tasks such as cleaning and basic maintenance of apartments and other commercial establishments, performing simple tasks in food preparation, and delivering goods. In contrast, less than one percent of OFWs worked as skilled agricultural and fishery workers abroad.
