In 2019, the service sector employed around 44 percent of Morocco's working population, the highest share among the economic sectors. From 2010 onwards, employment in services increased annually. In contrast, the share of people working in agricultural activities declined from roughly 41 percent in 2010 to 33 percent in 2019. The Moroccan industrial sector, in its turn, employed the lowest percentage of workers - approximately 23 percent as of 2019.

The agriculture sector includes "agriculture, hunting, forestry and fishing".
The industry sector encompasses "mining and quarrying, manufacturing, construction, and public utilities".
