In 2020, about 22 percent of job candidates successfully recruited immediately after a first contact with a company in Germany, claimed applying for their current position after being suggested by an employee of said company. Furthermore, personnel consultant and headhunters were responsible for about four percent of all successful recruitments immediately after the first contact between employer and job candidate.
