In 2021, approximately 85 percent of people surveyed in the Netherlands said they planned to celebrate Christmas. In contrast, only just over half of the respondents said they intended to celebrate Sinterklaas (Saint Nicholas Day). That being said, Dutch people were more likely to receive gifts for Sinterklaas than for Christmas.
