According to a survey conducted in Europe in 2020, 42 percent of diabetes sufferers reported they encountered a delay of more than one and less than three months in rescheduling their appointments for the screening of diabetes complications during the COVID-19 pandemic. Furthermore, four percent of people living with diabetes said their appointment was delayed by more than nine months.
