*The source counts the answers of the survey conducted in December 2023 as figures for fiscal year 2023. The Japanese fiscal year starts on April 1 of the stated year and ends on March 31 of the following year. Figures for previous years are based on earlier surveys, each with a sample size of 3,000 respondents. **Figures are based on diary entries of 1,500 respondents. Answers represent the average usage time of two weekdays, which is why the sample size is indicated as 3,000 respondents.
Data prior to fiscal year 2022 come from previous reporting.
