Sanitation and water services at school in Nigeria 2021
In Nigeria, less than two out of 10 schools had basic hygiene services as of 2021. This means that not even a half of the schools in Nigeria had handwashing facilities with water and soap available. Moreover, about 25 percent of the schools had only limited drinking water services, while improved sanitation facilities (single-sex and usable) were found in around 38 percent of Nigerian schools.
